What A Day

We started today off with a long, fun tubby time.  The boys played pirates and sharks.
We watched a little of the X-games.  We are into skiing and they thought it was super fun to see the snowboarders doing tricks down the hill.
We decided today was an animal day, so we headed for the zoo.
Have you ever stuck your hand in a lions mouth?  DJ and Alex have, okay it was a skull, but still cool!
Classic sitting on the elephant truck picture. I think this was the first time they actually sat together on the trunk.
Alex was really into skulls.  This one is from an elephant.
Alex and mommy with the elephants.
The stinky and amazing reptile house.  Why do boys have to love reptiles so much?
We always think of Harry Potter when we see this snake.
DJ checking out the enormous tortoise.
 Helping daddy up the hill.
 Checking out the three bears.

 Checking out the sea lions.
We got to watch the elephant trainers.
We sat together while the boys just played outside.
Winter is very hard because we really love being outside and exploring.  They couldn't get enough of it.
They loved sitting on the statues.
Alex measuring up to the seal.  He needs to grow a little taller.
 Hanging with the big cats.
Watch out, Daddy is on the road.  I sure love all 3 of my boys!
After the zoo we went and got cheese fries and ice cream.
Let's just say we may have been on a sugar high the rest of the night.
We are so grateful for these two little men in our lives.  We are praying that we will get to add another little one to our family sometime soon.

Girls' Temple Night

Last year we started going to the temple once a month, but we faded off in May and it never started back up.  With the new year starting we new it was now to go every month again.
I am so grateful for these ladies and being able to go be spiritually uplifted when I take time to get away from the world and go spend time in the temple.

Hello Ohio

We got to Skype with Mama Ashley and Derek tonight.
We are so blessed to be able to see and talk to them even though they are all of the way across the country.
The boys LOVE to show off for them.  They will be all normal and once there faces come on the computer they have to act it up and show off the entire time.

Ice Skating and Football

Another ice skating lesson tonight.
They drew footballs on the ice and had the kids try to trace them with their skates.
My favorite picture of the night!  These two sure love each other, and I love seeing them play together.

'I Have a Dream'

We talked about Martin Luther King and his 'I have a dream' speech so we played with kinetic sand while we listened to part of his speech.
This quote brings me to tears!  My family would be so different if it wasn't for Martin Luther King and people like him.

'Alex'razzi

Alex has really gotten into taking the camera around to take pictures of anything and everything.
 Here are some from tonight.
Alex is practicing his selfie taking abilities, just like his mommy.
 It must be selfie Wednesday.
 DJ riding on daddy's back.
Taking pictures of DJ playing in their room.
I love when I get to watch my boys find one of their passions.  Alex loves to take pictures and it is so fun to see him light up when he is doing what he enjoys.

Helping Others in Need

Helping others is something we want our boys to learn!  Daddy was taking the boys to school in the morning and Shotgun and Carly from the radio station were on talking about a project they are working on.  Shotgun is staying in a cardboard box while they try to get people to donate blankets to the homeless.  DJ asked daddy what they were talking about so he explained that there are people that don't have homes.  Our sweet little boy then asked daddy if they could donate blankets.  Of course, you can't tell your kid no especially when it is such a great thing they need to learn.  Daddy took the boys to the Army Navy store and bought a couple of wool blankets.  They took them over to where Shotgun would be sleeping and were super excited to give blankets to the homeless.
I am so proud of my boys for wanting to help others and having such big hearts.

It's Saturday...

We love that daddy works up at Snowbird because most weekend are filled with snow, fresh air, and skiing.  We made it up to the top of Mid Gad today and were able to go get some fries and hot chocolate.  Apparently we use ski lifts for taking crazy selfies.  Enjoy our pictures and some videos!

I am sure you are all sick of seeing skiing pictures from our weekends sorry! But I want to be able to have my boys be able to look back and see these too.
