Lunch Date

We went on a lunch date today with some of our favorite people.

 Great Grandma Alice!  DJ wanted to sit by grandma Alice and he loved that they were 'matching'.

 Makes you want a corn dog, huh?

 After we went back to grandma Sue's house and played.  It was a hot day so we turned on the sprinklers and ran through them.  I wasn't prepared for the water so the boys got to run around in their undies.

3 Years Old

3 years ago today a tiny little baby was born to an amazing mom! 16 months later I was able to also become his mom. What a blessing this little man is in all of our lives!!! He is so loved by his entire family. Happy Birthday Alexander Ames, we love you!!! 

Since it is a Sunday the first thing we did was go to church.  The second thing we did was spend time on Skyping with Mama Ashley and her family.

People came over and we ate dessert and opened presents.

We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family.  We were squished in the front room, but we made it work.  

Alex picked out his birthday cake.  He picked out a baseball cake, I tried to convince him otherwise because he had the same cake last year, but he insisted.  

 The kids played,

 ate ice cream,

  played with our new toys, and

 cuddled our cousin Jax.

Hollywood Connections - Alex's pre-birthday

We took the boys to Hollywood Connections today to celebrate Alex's birthday.

 They had a magic show and here are the boys patiently waiting for it to begin.  It was so fun to watch the boys be amazed at all of the magic that was preformed.

 So there is this balloon ride that takes you up in the air and you can spin it around.  Well, we thought we could all fit into the same air balloon basket.  I guess we did, but just barely!  We had a lot of fun on this ride screaming and laughing. (and getting sick!)

 We went miniature golfing for the first time.

 It was a fun, fast game.

 Yea, we might not have played by the rules the entire time.

I am so grateful my boys have a wonderful daddy! He is the one that thought the fun day up.

I can't believe that my little Alex is already going to be 3 years old!

Rose

So the other day we went shopping.  Daddy took DJ into the store to grab some things we needed while Alex and I went into another store.  When I walked out DJ was holding a rose behind his back to give to me.  He held it out and said, "You are the love of my life."

 Afterwards Jason told me that as soon as DJ walked into the store he ran to the flowers and said that he wanted to get some for me, awwwwww. DJ had grabbed the biggest bundle of flowers so daddy helped him pick out a single rose to buy me.  

What a sweetheart!

I took the boys to the bounce house again.

We love going to the bounce house and it is a great way to get out extra energy!

Camping with Friends

Our friends invited us to go camping at the property.  We were super excited to get out!

 They had a cute kids bow and arrow that Alex just fell in love with and was really good at.

 Our friends brought pool noodles and pvc pipe to make swords the kids could play with.  

 It was a big hit, and as you can see there were a ton of boys there.

 Samson got into a scuffle with another dog and his ear got the worst of it.  He is fine, but we thought we better bandage it up.

 Of course Daddy heard there was fishing and had to go.

We also took one of our four-wheelers and daddy took the boys on a couple of rides.

 They had so much fun!

 We are so glad our friends invited us up to their property.  We had a blast!
