Happy Easter

Our little bunnies

I made a new sign for Easter this year so we talked about the true meaning of Easter. 

On Easter morning the first thing DJ wanted to do was turn the last sign over.  He was so excited to see that Jesus was resurrected and lives again.

 The boys were also excited about what the Easter Bunny brought us.

 The boys loved searching for all of the eggs the bunny hid.

 Both boys had been sick during the week, but Alex was over his illness a couple days before Easter.  DJ was still not doing too red hot on Easter so I took Alex and headed out to Aunt Dena's house for an egg hunt.  Alex loved seeing his cousins and hunting for eggs.  Poor, sick Daddy and DJ stayed home.  We missed them.

DJ was pretending to be a prince (he has a clear Tupperware on his head he is holding) and Daddy is the noble steed.

Surprise from Ohio

A package came from Ohio today and we were excited to peek inside.

 Ashley sent some gifts for Alex from some of her friends and family.

Her brother sent a set of Toy Story books.  Alex sleeps with one of these books in his bed under his covers every night.  You will know if the book isn't right where it should be because he will yell until he gets one.

Ashley's friend (Alex's girlfriend) sent a tool bench. 

 The boys really love building things with it!

 The shirt he is wearing in these pictures is one of many that were sent to him.  

Here he is so proud that he pounded all of the nail in.

 Alex was still napping and missed out but we had a lot of fun and will be playing with bubbles again!

Springtime

 The weather is warming up and we are so excited.  This means we get to play outside more.

We went to a park close by for an hour to hang out and have some fun.

 The boys really enjoy this park.
