The Big 3!

 We had a late birthday party for DJ since we were in California during his birthday.  We had family over to celebrate.

 sang happy birthday,

 ate cake,

 and pretended to be super heros with great grandma Alice.

 Yes, this is DJ's cheese face.  Silly boy!

Thanksgiving

 We had a great Thanksgiving this year!  We had Jason's side of the family over for dinner.

We have so many things to be thankful for, family is among the top of the list!

Helping Daddy in the Snow

 It finally snowed here.  We were in California for the first storm so this was our first snowfall of the year. 

The boys loved playing in the snow and helping Daddy shovel.

After shoveling the walks the boys made a tiny snowman.

 When they came back inside there was hot chocolate waiting for them.

Las Vegas - Hotels and Sharks

It was time we headed back home.  We spent the day before waiting for daddy to get out of his conference then spent most of the rest of the day driving.

We went to some hotels we thought the boys would like the next day.  Of course we went to the castle.

 Then we took the monorail over to Mandalay Bay to see the Shark Exhibit.

 We had a lot of fun, but didn't do a couple of things we wanted to.  We thought a nap was more important.  We were sad our trip was over, but we were very ready to get back home to our own beds.

California Day 6 - La Habra Children's Museum

I found a Children's Museum and by the ratings on the internet I decided it would be a good place to try out. I put the address in my phone and we headed out.  The parking lot is not right next to the museum so we almost missed it.  

The boys had a lot of fun playing in all of the different rooms they had there. 

They played in the kitchen (DJ's favorite),

 dug up fossils,

 

filled up a car with gas,

shopped for food,

rang people out at the cash register,

saw huge dinosaurs,

grizzly bears,

coyote,

lions,

antlers (if you remember from Vegas, Jason put antlers on the boys' heads and that is what Alex is doing),

bobcats,

music,

played with trains,

colored dinosaurs,

played more music,

dressed up,

explored,

sang pretty music,

made a turkey hat,

rode the carousel,

drove a bus,

and even rode dinosaurs.

We had a fun day!  What a great place to find!
