Diaper Free

We had a huge event happen in our house.  We are diaper free.  We worked with DJ starting in late November with potty training and he has it down besides bedtime.  I decided to see how Alex would take to it.  He is a pro!  He stays dry all through naps and the night.  We are working on staying dry when we aren't at our house.  It is so much fun to see these boys grow and learn.

Drumming

 So, my boys LOVE to drum! DJ is constantly finding things he can make into a drum set.  

I think music is his passion!

 DJ totally pulled up a chair so Alex could watch him play the drums.  Yes, he needs a real drum set!

Alex loves doing anything DJ does so he pulled up a chair and started drumming too.

We Got Skills

 We bought some kid safe scissors and the boys have enjoyed practicing cutting.  They have a long way to go to actually have the skill down, but they are learning.

Daddy's Buckaroos

 Our boys LOVE daddy and want to be just like him.  

They like to dress up in daddy's motorcycle clothes.

New Roads

 DJ was playing with his cars and asked me where the roads were.  So, I grabbed the tape and made roads for the boys. 

They loved driving their cars up, down, and all around the room.

They had a lot of fun!

Coloring and Doggies

 These boys love to color.

 The boys came up with a new game.  They play like one of them is a doggy and take the other on a walk.

 It is so cute!

Brothers

We were driving in the car and I look in my rear-view mirror and see this.  I was so happy because when I got to a stop light they were still holding hands.  

These two are best friends!

More Skyping

 We were able to Skype again with Ashley and Derek.  It is so fun seeing them.

We love our birth families!

A Trip To The Zoo

 We went with Grandma Sue to the zoo.

The sea lions were very active.  They were playing and fighting the entire time.  They reminded me of DJ and Alex.

Wingmen

Jason is obsessed with Buffalo Wild Wings and brought them home for us to eat one day.  

He also got super cute hats for the boys.

Since wings are so dirty we took off their shirts and I couldn't resist a picture.  They are showing their muscles.

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines Day!

 We sent pictures to birth families.

 We sure love them!

 We went to Grandma Sue's work (we forgot to take pictures there), Grandpa Evan's work, and Great Grandma Alice's house.

 Grandpa let the boys play on the fork-lift.

We had a busy morning, but we are so glad we have such great people to go visit.

Making Valentines

 We bought valentines to make for our friends.  The boys had fun putting them together.

The did a really good job sticking on the pieces to create the dinosaurs.

The boys were very proud of what they made.

 I was so surprised how well DJ did making his dinosaur look like the example.

New Cookies

 DJ and Mommy decided to bake Nutella cookies.  

We had a lot of fun mixing all of the ingredients together.

They were delicious cookies, and we are definitely making more soon. 

Poor Alex woke up sick from his nap this day.  We think he got the flu. Poor boy was puking all day and sick for the next couple of days.  I knew he didn't feel good the second he went and laid on the couch instead of helping make cookies.

Skyping

 We got to Skype with Alex's birth mom and her boyfriend.  We love being able to see her!  It is so much fun watching Alex talk and interact with Mama Ashley.

This was the first time we got to meet Derek and we really like him.  We spent quite awhile on the Ipad with them.  We are so grateful for technology so we can see and talk to them even though they are so far away.

Magna Library

 We have spent some time at the library lately to get books that go along with my primary lessons.  Magna library is our favorite because it has lots of things for the kids to explore.

We love reading

and playing with letters.

 This library is so much fun!

Along with the books we check out, we get movies too.  The boys love watching movies!
