April Family Dinner

It was family dinner time again!  We had it at Kurt and Shai's house.  They are moving so this is the last time at this house.  I didn't take a lot of pictures but here are some.
Mom and Grandma chatting.
DJ chatting with Great Grandma Alice.  He sure loves her and talks about her so often.
Alex playing with cars.  He was concentrating to hard to make them crash into each other.
 Mommy and Alex
We look forward to getting together with family!

City Creek and The Natural History Museum

Jason's work gave families free tickets to the Natural History Museum.  We were excited to let the boys go up and check everything out.  Before we went up we decided to stop by City Creek and let the boys play a little and get something to eat.
It is warming up and we are excited to go play in all of the splash parks around the city.
The boys thought it was fun walking over the street and sat down to watch the trax train pull up.
A big hit was the pond with the big fish inside.  This is how Jason watches the boy.
 Playing on a sculpture.
We made it up to the Natural History Museum and the boys loved it.
The dinosaurs were the biggest hit!
They love looking at the dinosaur skeletons.
They liked seeing the dinosaur skeletons from Land Before Time.
They thought this gigantic crocodile was so neat!
We stopped and posed for a family picture.
Of course we had to take one with silly faces!
It was so fun seeing all of the skulls.
The insects were so fun to see.  It is amazing how many different kinds there are!
 Alex checking out the sun.
Alex helping uncle Kurt build a tower so it could be knocked over in a mock earthquake.
The boys didn't want to leave, they had so much fun!  They thought it was fun to put pennies in the last dinosaur.
It was a great family night.  I am so glad that Jason's work provided the fun night we were able to have.

Date weekend

I surprised Jason with a date weekend.  We went uptown and walked around City Creek.
It was nice because we had never really been up there.  We stayed up at a hotel for the night.
We stopped and got chocolate wasted.  Delicious!
Grandma and Grandpa kept the kids overnight and they loved it!  When we got back to pick them up they were excited to go out and play but didn't want to leave.
I love watching Jason playing with the boys!
And I think he is happy with this sudden love of football!

It was a great weekend and a much needed time to get away.  Jason just finished his Bachelors degree so it was a perfect time to celebrate!

A New Park with a Great Friend

We went to a new park today that we had never been to before.
We had so much fun playing there.  It was a perfect park for us and we will be going back again.
Tanner and Alex trying to slide down in a train.
Alex climbing up the stairs for the slide.
 Swinging...
is something they both love doing!
There was a field with rocks at the edge of the park.  DJ was excited to find rocks and sticks out in the field.
 Yeehaw!
We love spending time outdoors and nice days and having friends join us is even better!

Legos

We got some legos from a friend the other day.  The boys have really enjoyed playing with them and building.
It is fun to see how they have graduated from the big blocks to this new smaller size.  They are perfect for them, not too big and not too small.
We built a skate park and had fun driving the skateboard around the park.
Alex and I had fun making silly faces and
 getting tickled!
Thank you to our friends for these new fun toys!

Lunch Fun

I took the boys out to lunch today.  The love playing at play places!
It's also nice because they can get a lot of energy out.
DJ making faces in the bubble.
When DJ was headed up the structure one time there was a little boy much smaller than him and DJ got down on his hands and knees to be a stool for the little boy to climb on.  It was so cute and sweet.  He really is a caring little guy!  The other little boy never ended up climbing on top of DJ, but it made me proud to see how he cared for this other boy to help him up.
DJ found a little friend to play with.  It was really cute watching them play together.  They stuck together and would call to each other so they could run around together.
Alex decided to hang out with me because he doesn't like to try to climb by himself.
Love his mad face!
