Swim Classes

We are still having the boys take swimming lessons.  We want them to be comfortable and safe, and they love it so that is always a plus.
DJ can barely touch over where the lessons take place, I love seeing his little head just over the water line.
Alex can't touch at all, but does really well in the water!
They are both super comfortable in the water and and learning a lot too.  We have seen a big improvement over the weeks.
Both boys are learning different strokes.
Here is Alex practicing the back stroke.
DJ practicing using big arms.
This boy loves his cowboy boots!  Checking out this outfit made me smile!

Family and Food

It's the last Sunday of the month so it was time to get together with family to hang out and eat.  It was our turn to host again.  We were hoping for good weather to spend time at a park, but alas it was cold and so we held it inside.
The boys loved playing with their cousins.
Chatting is one of the best parts of the night.
Oh, the feed is a great part too.
Alex couldn't get enough Cheetos balls!
 Me and Kurt
Jason and Jax chatting with each other.
We were super lucky this month because mama Brie was able to come and eat with us before she went to her work meeting.  We are super lucky to have her around!

Working Hard

Daddy took the boys out to clean my motorcycle for me.  What sweeties!
They did an amazing job scrubbing every part of it.
Now I have a clean bike and I got to take a nap while they were cleaning.

Easter Baskets from Ashley

Mama Ashley sent the boys Easter baskets.
 They loved everything!
These bunnies love our birth families!
It is such a blessing to us to have open adoptions! We don't expect gifts or anything from them, but having the boys know their birth families and feel their love for them means the world to us!

Riding Bikes

The boys have had so much fun riding their new bikes.  They are getting really good at it too.

I am going to be walking up and down the street a lot this summer because walking with them to help them ride.  We have had some spills already, but the boys just get back on and try again.

Happy Easter

We took some Easter pictures.
We had an Easter egg hunt when we woke up.  The boys had fun finding all of the eggs hidden around the yard and counting how many more they had to find.

The boys got bikes and the love them!
The got big bikes so they will be able to use them for a long time.
We definitely wanted to make sure to celebrate Easter for the real reason for the holiday!
The boys enjoyed seeing all of the events leading up to the Resurrection.
Later in the day we went over to aunt Dena's house and for dinner and an egg hunt.  The boys got to choose partners for the hunt so they could reach any eggs that were too high for them.  They chose aunt Dena and Marshall.
We had to pause hunting for eggs to snap a couple of pictures.
 DJ searching for eggs.
Later that night we went over to Grandma Sue and Grandpa Evan's house for dessert, but my phone died and I didn't get any pictures.
We had a great day and loved celebrating Easter and Christ's resurrection!

We love coloring Easter eggs!

How did I get the two cutest boys in the world?
I am the luckiest mama in the world!

Adoption Lunch and Egg Hunt

We went to an adoption lunch and egg hunt today, and it was so much fun!
It is so great to get together with people that you have something that is such a huge part of your life in common with.
The boys had such a great time playing at the park.
 They loved swinging.

 And playing on the playground.

They had an egg hunt for the kids.
Alex and his cousin, Jax walking together.
Some fun random shots of the day taken by Nicole.  The people there were all related to adoption in some way.  There were adoptive families, birth moms, cousins, and grandparents there.  It is so great to see such great open adoption relationships!  Unfortunately our birth mom in town had to work and our other birth mom lives out of state.

I am so grateful for the adoption community I am apart of.  I LOVE spreading the positives about open adoption and how wonderful it is!
