Planet Play

We went to Planet Play with our friend.
 The boys loved the carrousel.
Another of the favorites was a shark smashing game.
and stomping on the lights was fun for everyone, even at the same time.
 They all loved Skee Ball
The boys LOVE guns so when they saw this shooting game they had to give it a try.
 Mini bowling was super fun.
The boys liked air hockey.  It was a perfect size for them to play!  Well, a little too tall for Alex.
Both boys were able to watch the puck and connect with it.
 They have good eye-hand coordination.
They enjoyed all of the games,
 and rides!
We ate pizza and fruit for dinner.
What a great way to spend an afternoon with a friend.

Snow Cones

We went on a walk down the road the other day.
I LOVE when they hold hands!!!

 We got Tiger's Blood.
 They were delicious!
Then daddy took us for a bike ride.
What a great evening!

Busy Bags

So a friend and I have been making busy bags like crazy people lately.  My boys have really enjoyed them.  Yesterday at church my husband made the comment that he thinks it is funny to watch all of the kids around us watch our boys play with their bags in envy.  Here are a couple of pictures of new bags we have.

Pizza Factory
I cut out the pieces out of felt and printed the recipe cards from a site I found on Pinterest.
 A sorting/classifying bug activity.
They have bugs and they pick them up with tweezers and place them in the correct jar according to type of bug or we have color jars.
My friend made this one.  I believe she made the jars and bought the bugs at Lakeshore Learning.
 Button Snake
This one helps with fine motor skills and patterning.
I sewed two buttons on a ribbon and cut out shapes from different colors of felt.  I also made pattern cards that aren't pictured because we are just working on the fine motor right here.
We have many more too so I am sure I will be posting more in the future.

Custom Made Canvas Painting

Someone requested that I put a tutorial on how we made our picture, so here is goes.
I first painted the canvas all black, then I cut out the letters in vinyl from the cricut and placed them where I wanted.
I had the boys paint the canvas right over the words.
We took a couple of days to paint because I wanted the colors dried before we added another color to make sure it didn't just turn brown or black.
We made sure every spot was covered with paint so no black was showing through.
After all of the paint was dry I peeled off the letters.  Some paint seeped under the letters so I went over the letters with black in a couple of spots and around the edges.
I think it turned out great.  I might try having the kids paint the colors first next time then putting the vinyl lettering on and painting over in black.  This would have the opposite effect, the letters would be colorful and the rest would be black.

After we went to dinner at grandma and grandpa's house.
Alex and Maddie cuddled up watching a video.
It was a great day!!!

Sunbeams

I have the worlds best Sunbeam partner! Yep, my Hubby.
He taught the lesson on being thankful for ears today.
We decided it was such a nice day that we would walk to church.  Here are my 3 handsome boys walking home.

Helpers

Kurt and Shaileen moved to a new house and we helped them.
Here is DJ checking out their frog.
DJ pushing the last box off of the moving truck.
 Alex practicing fertilizing the lawn.
The boys helping hold the table legs in place while they are put back together.
We are glad we were able to help them move.
