Helping Daddy in the Snow

It finally snowed here.  We were in California for the first storm so this was our first snowfall of the year.
The boys loved playing in the snow and helping Daddy shovel.

After shoveling the walks the boys made a tiny snowman.
When they came back inside there was hot chocolate waiting for them.

 I LOVE my boys!

Inside Fun

We had more inside fun.  We love playing with play dough and we tried painting in a bag.  We brought out dinosaurs and cars to make tracks in the play dough.  It is was really fun seeing the impressions they made.

Puzzle Time

When did my babies grow up so fast?  These two are so smart!  They really enjoy playing with each other.  We got out the puzzles and they did so good finding where the pieces fit.
Alex had a lot of fun taking the pieces off then seeing the matching pictures.

DJ was able to figure out where each piece fit and rotate them to fit in the exact spot.
I have two smartie pants!

Legos

Legos were a big hit up at the condo.

Shai and the boys building a tower.
The older boys got into legos too.  Grandpa E started it off by wanting to create a tower that would touch the ceiling.
I think all of the older boys got into this project.  They had to find the parts that were making the tower fall and fix them.

The final product.
Who would have guessed?

Wolf Creek Weekend

We planned a get-a-way a while back with our family.  We decided to go to our timeshare up in Wolf Creek.  We had a blast and the trees were breathtaking.
One morning we saw 4 deer cross the golf course just out our window and head into the bushes.  The kids loved seeing them.  Maddie was the first to spot them and she came running in saying, "live animals, live animals outside."  It was funny, she knew they were real, but didn't know what they were.
DJ played racquetball with daddy.
Jason and all of the boys woke up early Saturday morning and went out golfing.
There is a pond with some gigantic fish in it.  The boys thought it was fun watching them.
They have a beach volleyball court and the boys loved playing in the sand.
Grandma created a scavenger hunt for the kids and they got cool light sticks that they had fun with.
While DJ and Daddy were at the racquetball court, Alex and Mommy went swimming.
This little boy LOVES to splash!
 And he splashed a lot!
We had so much fun with our family!  It was nice to get away for a weekend and have some fun and make memories!

Fun in the Yard

DJ has been working on potty training lately so we have had a lot of days playing at home.
Alex showing off his basketball skills.
 DJ playing hoops.
Playing in the soccer goal.

DJ has decided that he doesn't slide anymore.  He LOVES to jump off the slide instead.  I love all of the funny faces he made with each jump!
I sure do love my boys!

New Things at the Park

We ended up at the park again to get out some energy and have some fun. There were a couple of new things the boys got into this time.

DJ and the periscope.
The boys loved sliding on their tummies.
DJ thinks he is superman and can fly.
Alex learned how to climb up the rope ladder.
The boys enjoyed sliding together too!
It is fun seeing how close DJ and Alex are. They really do love each other!
It was a great way to spend the day.

2nd Try a Success

We decided to try the parkway again since we didn't actually make it for a walk the night before. We were better prepared this time, we took bread to feed the ducks with.

DJ and Alex feeding the ducks.

Our goal was to walk to 5400 south. We went under the overpass and had a surprise with hieroglyphs. They liked trying to figure out what the pictures were.
There was a park on the walk so on our return to the car we stopped and played for a while.
Alex showing off his muscles. We stopped by Grandma Alice's house again. She was leaving, but gave us popsicles on her way out.
I am going to try to make this walk a biweekly event. If you want to join us, let us know!
