Las Vegas - Hotels and Sharks

It was time we headed back home.  We spent the day before waiting for daddy to get out of his conference then spent most of the rest of the day driving.

We went to some hotels we thought the boys would like the next day.  Of course we went to the castle.

 Then we took the monorail over to Mandalay Bay to see the Shark Exhibit.

 We had a lot of fun, but didn't do a couple of things we wanted to.  We thought a nap was more important.  We were sad our trip was over, but we were very ready to get back home to our own beds.

California Day 6 - La Habra Children's Museum

I found a Children's Museum and by the ratings on the internet I decided it would be a good place to try out. I put the address in my phone and we headed out.  The parking lot is not right next to the museum so we almost missed it.  

The boys had a lot of fun playing in all of the different rooms they had there. 

They played in the kitchen (DJ's favorite),

 dug up fossils,

 

filled up a car with gas,

shopped for food,

rang people out at the cash register,

saw huge dinosaurs,

grizzly bears,

coyote,

lions,

antlers (if you remember from Vegas, Jason put antlers on the boys' heads and that is what Alex is doing),

bobcats,

music,

played with trains,

colored dinosaurs,

played more music,

dressed up,

explored,

sang pretty music,

made a turkey hat,

rode the carousel,

drove a bus,

and even rode dinosaurs.

We had a fun day!  What a great place to find!

California Day 5- Santa Ana Zoo, Downtown Disney, and Swimming

 Daddy's work conference started today so the boys and I ventured off on our own. 

I found a zoo for us to go to.  The ratings were okay so we were on our way.  

I would have to say this is a monkey zoo, mostly Tamarins.  

 We did see a majestic Bald Eagle, 

 a macaw,

They were both very interested in all of the animals, but DJ kept asking to see ALL of the animals because I kept telling him the next one is a monkey.

 We saw a turkey.

 They had a playground so we spent some time there after looking at all of the animals.

 The boys loved the sand!

 Alex enjoyed sliding.

 DJ enjoyed climbing, like always.

 I even got them to slide together.

 After the playground we found a little area we didn't see before.  It had fossils and reptiles.

 After naps the boys and I walked to downtown Disney.  We loved seeing all of the characters!

 We saw an amazing store that was a build-a-car store.  We spend some time looking at all the cool car things.

 We saw the Lego store.  It was so cool to see the big sculptures made all out of Legos.

 We walked into one of the Disney hotels grounds.  We found Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto bushes.

 Goofy was hanging around at the hotel so we talked to him for awhile.

 When we got back to the hotel we had about an hour before Daddy was done for the day so we spent some time coloring.

 Later that night we decided to go swimming.

 The water was a little chilly, but we had fun!

 It was fun splashing around.

 There was a section of the pool that the boys could touch and they loved walking around.

 We had a fun, busy day!
