Helping Daddy in the Snow

It finally snowed here.  We were in California for the first storm so this was our first snowfall of the year.
The boys loved playing in the snow and helping Daddy shovel.

After shoveling the walks the boys made a tiny snowman.
When they came back inside there was hot chocolate waiting for them.

 I LOVE my boys!

California Day 5- Santa Ana Zoo, Downtown Disney, and Swimming

Daddy's work conference started today so the boys and I ventured off on our own.
I found a zoo for us to go to.  The ratings were okay so we were on our way.
I would have to say this is a monkey zoo, mostly Tamarins.
We did see a majestic Bald Eagle,
 a macaw,
They were both very interested in all of the animals, but DJ kept asking to see ALL of the animals because I kept telling him the next one is a monkey.
 Little monkeys
They had a farm here too.
They are watching the geese.
 We saw a turkey.
They had a playground so we spent some time there after looking at all of the animals.
 The boys loved the sand!
 Alex enjoyed sliding.
 DJ enjoyed climbing, like always.
I even got them to slide together.
After the playground we found a little area we didn't see before.  It had fossils and reptiles.

After naps the boys and I walked to downtown Disney.  We loved seeing all of the characters!
We saw an amazing store that was a build-a-car store.  We spend some time looking at all the cool car things.
We saw the Lego store.  It was so cool to see the big sculptures made all out of Legos.
We walked into one of the Disney hotels grounds.  We found Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto bushes.
Goofy was hanging around at the hotel so we talked to him for awhile.
When we got back to the hotel we had about an hour before Daddy was done for the day so we spent some time coloring.
Later that night we decided to go swimming.
The water was a little chilly, but we had fun!
 It was fun splashing around.
There was a section of the pool that the boys could touch and they loved walking around.
We had a fun, busy day!

California Day 3 - Disneyland

We ventured over to the California Adventure side of the park.
The first place we stopped was to see Crush.  DJ loved the first room with all of the screens and different movies playing.  He freaked out when we saw Up and when he sees pictures he calls it the Up room.  Alex had fallen asleep already from the long day yesterday so he missed a couple of fun things in the morning.
We saw Scully.
DJ almost cried when we walked away from him.  All day he kept asking where Mikey was.
 Alex taking a cat nap.
We played in the Bug's Life area.  DJ loved the bumper cars and that he got to drive.  He told me that his license was in his pocket.
The train was a big hit too.  His favorite part was the animal crackers.
We all loved the Little Mermaid ride.
Alex finally woke up for the day.
We waited in line for the big ferris wheel.  We got on a swinging one and the boys were scared at first but ended up loving it.

We tried to pull out the sword in the stone.
This is what the boys did in the line waiting.
Mommy and DJ with the poisonous apple.
Daddy and Alex riding on the Snow White ride.
We worked really hard to keep the boys entertained during the waiting in lines.
Alex and Daddy in the Peter Pan line.
We loved the Peter Pan ride.  All of the stars were a hit with the boys and the fact that we were flying.  DJ loved the thought of Pixie Dust being sprinkled on the boat and the controller even sprinkled more dust on us.
 It's A Small World Ride.
Ha ha, apparently the boys got sick of the song just like Daddy.

We had fun exploring and looking at bugs through the magnifying glasses.

We went over to cars land later in the night because the lines were so long earlier.  The boys loved it!  This is DJ on the Tow Mater ride.
We went to the Bug's Life show.
We had fun being bugs for awhile, but the show scared the boys.  I forgot how scary it was.
We finished the day with World of Colors.  It was amazing!  DJ had fallen asleep waiting for it to start and Alex tried to stay awake, but ended up falling asleep during the show.
It was a perfect second day of fun at Disneyland!
