Creating and Cousins

We got the play dough out and the boys loved it. DJ kept saying he was making something for Brie, so cute!
Later Grandma Sue and Grandpa E invited us out to watch our cousin, Brayden play football.  The boys love football so of course we went with them.  We took our footballs and had fun seeing Brayden play.  During half time Kailee took the boys out and played football with them.

Legos

Legos were a big hit up at the condo.

Shai and the boys building a tower.
The older boys got into legos too.  Grandpa E started it off by wanting to create a tower that would touch the ceiling.
I think all of the older boys got into this project.  They had to find the parts that were making the tower fall and fix them.

The final product.
Who would have guessed?

Mountain Memories

Our sister, Hil planned a dinner in the mountains for Sunday. We love spending time in our beautiful mountains! We headed up early so we could have plenty of time to play with our family. It is gorgeous up there and the leaves are starting to change colors.
We played down by the river. We played up in the mountains.
We loved spending time with family.Daddy and DJ loved hiking around in the rocks.
DJ and Daddy hiked a mountain. They hiked to the top of a big mountain. That is our camp you can see right below them.Daddy took most of the kids in a cave. They loved it!Our family loves to play games, so of course we did plenty of that while we were up there.
DJ loves spending time with Grandpa!
These two are inseparable.
We celebrated Grandpa's and Kailee's birthday up in the mountains. Kailee and Grandpa share the same birthday. We also enjoyed marshmallows.

Swimming

We went to Seven Peaks tonight with Grandma Sue, Grandpa E, Madison, and Carson. We had a blast! Here are some highlights.

DJ really enjoyed riding on the tube with Grandma and swimming in the lazy river. He learned how to swim all by himself again. He was swimming last August but hasn't dared to since. What a big boy!
Alex had a fun time with Madison. He loved jumping over the waves, riding on the tube, and floating in the water. He also enjoys going under the water when you count to 3, silly boy!
Both of the boys LOVE playing in the water!DJ and Grandpa E

Happy Independence Day

We got up early and went to the Murray parade. I love going to the parade, but this year was a little different. I still loved it, but my grandpa that passed away in December always made the parade for me. Not having him there was hard! I am so glad that I had last year with him. Him and my grandma came with Jason and myself to the parade last year and that is a great memory!

This is a picture of last year's parade with my Grandpa Earl. He had the loudest clap ever!!!
The boys waiting for the 2012 parade to begin. They did really good!
Both boys loved the floats and waving to the pretty girls. Little flirts!
Some people handed out flags and they enjoyed waving them.
Happy Independence Day!
Daddy and Alex looking at the motorcycle cops down the street.

One of the entries in the parade was about the new spiderman movie. The lady in the truck spotted the boys, grabbed 2 hats, jumped off the truck and gave them directly to Alex and DJ. They are very lucky to be spotted out of a giant crowd of kids and be the only ones around to get a hat.
After the parade we went to Seven Peak, along with half the valley! It was crowded, but we still had fun! It was nice to have some other people there too: Kurt, Shai, and Grandpa E. We played in the pools and went on a couple of slides. When we got home later we had a stash of fireworks. So we put of a small firework show for the boys. We started out with some poppers and then got into stuff you actually lights. DJ's favorite was the smoke bombs! Alex just liked it all!
Alex watching the fireworks. I couldn't get him to look away.
DJ on the other hand, was scared of almost all of them. I had to coax him into watching them. He likes the big fireworks in the sky, but not close up. We decided since it has been such a dry year to only do ground fireworks. Right after we were done with the fireworks the boys went in and fell asleep quickly.
We had a really busy, but fun day!
We are so grateful to live in America!

June Family Dinner

We get together as a family every month and do dinner. We rotate who's house we are at, and this month was our house.
Family Love
Since Mom and Dad went on a cruise and didn't take us, we didn't see them at Father's day so we gave dad his present.
Shai and Kurt gave them a cute jar. Yes my dad LOVES oreos!
My mom, Grandma, and me
A lot of family left and Alex and DJ pulled out some books to read.
I am sure glad they have a love of reading!
We look forward to getting together every month for good food and to chat!
