Church History Museum

We went with some friends to the Church History Museum. We heard that it had a fun place for the kids to play. We walked around the bottom level for a bit. The boys liked seeing the big ship and climbing into the ship's beds.

We played with blocks and helped translate the Book of Mormon.We cooked food.

This was DJ and Alex's favorite part.

DJ loves to pretend to cook food with the dirt outside at our house, so he was in heaven when there was actual food and pans to pretend with.

We helped build a ship.After the ship was build we were able to fish from it. DJ caught one all by himself.

We played in the garden.

We danced, well DJ was too cool to dance but Alex and Tanner got into it.

We got to see a gigantic statue of Angel Moroni. Then we walked around outside and saw all of the beautiful fountains.

We love to see the temple!

Walk

We went on a walk along the parkway again, but this time we were joined by our good friends. We love spending time with them!

Of course we had to stop at the park on the way back and play for a while.

We love it when our friends join us in our fun!

Memory Grove

Last night we went up to Memory Grove as a family. We have 2 little boys that love to hike! We took some food up and ate first.

Further up the path is more wooded. The boys loved being in the 'mountains'.While walking up the path Jason told the boys to fly like airplanes. Alex totally got into it!

A boy with a snake was walking by. DJ has been obsessed with snakes lately. He has been making up all sorts of stories about snakes lately. Now the stories are going to become more frequent and more fantastic because he touched a huge snake.The boys loved going down to the river to throw rocks, play with sticks, and just be boys.

We had so much fun and had some much needed family time.

I am so blessed to have such wonderful boys in my life.

2nd Try a Success

We decided to try the parkway again since we didn't actually make it for a walk the night before. We were better prepared this time, we took bread to feed the ducks with.

Our goal was to walk to 5400 south. We went under the overpass and had a surprise with hieroglyphs. They liked trying to figure out what the pictures were.

There was a park on the walk so on our return to the car we stopped and played for a while.

Our Adventure

We went on the Jordan River parkway last night. The plan was to walk a ways then when we were heading back to stop by Grandma Alice's on the way back to the car. It didn't work like that. As we were passing Grandma's street I looked up there and her garage was open so we headed up there first. She was outside gardening. I was glad we stopped by so we could help her out! After she gave up popsicles for helping out. We love seeing and helping Grandma!
