Murray Park and Lunch

The boys and I decided to go play at Murray park today. It is such a fun park with things just for the little ones. There are little things that look like cups. You sit in them and spin. I put the boys in together, they didn't last long!
DJ loves climbing on things and there were 2 climbing walls, so he was in heaven.
Alex's favorite thing was the swing.
After the boys were done with the park we walked into the garden area. We found some stairs to play on.They have almost all of the trees named and DJ would run from plaque to plaque to plaque asking what type tree it was. The boys also found a fun hill they enjoyed running down.
We saw a group of ducks. Too bad we didn't have anything to feed them.
After we went over to Daddy's work and picked him up. He needed to go to the store so we took him and had lunch together.
What a fun day!

Fruit

We went over to Grandma Alice's house to pick her peaches and grapes. The boys love helping and running around her backyard. I got to take many of the peaches home. I am going to try my hand at canning.

August Family Dinner

We had our monthly family dinner this past Sunday and we had a blast! Grandma Sue decided to have us bring some games to play. Kurt and Shai brought a guessing game. Janica won the jar. There was a lot of football that was played. Grandpa E totally schooled Brayden in the top picture.
The food was delicious like always!
These boys are obsessed with baseball.
We also played two other games. One was the clothes pin drop and the other was a tossing game.
It was fun to have our dinner a little different with some games and prizes, and of course the food and family!

RAWR

We went on an adventure today to the Dinosaur Museum. DJ has been asking to go see the dinosaurs for a couple of weeks so when we found out it was only $2 today we went. I didn't tell the boys where we were going, but DJ was pretty certain it was to see the dinos. Good thing that is where we went or he would have been a super sad boy!

Mommy and boys looking at the dinosaurs.
DJ and Alex playing in the water area. Once Alex realized there was sand in it he didn't want to play in the water anymore because his hands were dirty.
Alex checking out all of the dinosaurs. The first thing we saw was the paleontologist and he just wanted to watch him clean the bones. Alex's favorite thing was the shark, he cried when we left it.
He loved all of the dinosaur bones, even when they were about to pounce on us.
I LOVE spending time with my boys! I enjoy watching them learn and being able to teach them!
DJ was so excited to see all of the dinosaurs. I don't know what his favorite part was because he seemed to love everything about the place!
After we spent the morning at the museum we stopped by a park to eat lunch and play for a bit.
Grandma Sue brought a treat for everyone, Cotton Candy! After eating it for a while DJ stuck out his hands and screamed 'Ewww, sticky' at everyone and started laughing.
DJ at the park. He loved the slide!
Alex playing at the park. This boys loves to explore.
Here are my boys with their Aunt Shaileen. It is fun to see the love they have for her!
Spending time with family is so rewarding! Thanks for making this a fun and memorable day!

Party

Grandma Sue and Grandpa E invited us to a party in their neighborhood. DJ was sick so he stayed home with Daddy. Alex and I ventured out for food and fun. Alex loved the watermelon. He also got a snake painted on his face. Madison got a ladybug. What a cutie!
It is always a good time when family is involved!

Jam

I got to spend some time doing something I haven't done in a really long time. I made jam with my mom.

Happy 2nd Birthday Alex

Alex turned 2 years old! He is getting so big and learning so much. We have only had him for a short 8 months, but can't imagine life without this little fireball. He is such a fun and playful boy. He loves his older brother DJ and tries to do everything DJ does, especially when DJ is being naughty. Alex has learned so much these past 8 months. He talks up a storm, although a lot of the words sound the same, but he sure tries hard! He climbs on everything.

Alexander Ames - age 2
Alex opening presents and playing with family.
He got so many fun things to play with.
His momma Ashley spoiled him!
He got some new shoes from 2 wonderful ladies at Jason's work. Alex LOVES shoes! We had cake and he gobbled it up.
I gave a lesson in church last Sunday and one big point was that little children teach us. Alex has taught me so many things! He has taught me to love life more, always be happy, try until you succeed, and many other things. I am so grateful I get to call him son!

Happy Birthday and I love you Alex!

Snowbird

We decided to go up to Snowbird on Saturday to spend some time up in the mountains and go up the tram to the top, but when we got there it was rainy and really wet. So we decided we would try the tram another day. Since we were already up there we decided to stay and play for awhile.
We rode a pretend horse.
We even rode together.
The boys posed for pictures. They sure love the mountain!
We walked to a playground and let the boys play. It started to rain, but that was no deterrent to them.
Alex checking himself out in the mirror. His wet pants are from going down wet slides. We hung out for a while.
We went on a hike.
DJ loved walking through the woods, and has really good footing up there too.DJ found moose tracks and want to show us.
Sitting on a long in a stream.Daddy tried to teach DJ our famous pose
We saw a squirrel, but it ran away so we tried to call it back. We also saw lots of other little rodents.
We played some more at the playground. We are going to go up there again to play when it is not raining, so we can play some more. Our friend Tanner was there playing with us too.
Alex and DJ are both little monkeys and love to climb.
They had a fun car and plane to ride in.Then we went to dinner.
Tanner and his Mommy and Daddy came too.
The kids got a small ice cream with their meal. How lucky!Daddy and Alex showing some love.
We had a great time even though we didn't do what we planned on doing up at Snowbird. Family time is so important to us that it doesn't really matter what we are doing, we always have fun. We we lucky to have our friends up there too. The boys really love hanging out with Tanner.
