We climbed in our car today and headed out to mama Ashley and Derek's house, we were super excited!!!
They took us to a fun park. We made a plan for the day.

The park was really fun and had a splash pad with it, but we weren't dressed for the splash pad so we took off the boys' shirts are shoes and rolled up their pants and let them run around.

After the park we went back to the hotel to get dry clothes on and then went to go bowling with Derek's parents.

Derek's parents brought Alex a couple of birthday presents.

Later that night we went back to Derek and Ashley's apartment and watched a movie while waiting for the fireflies to make their appearance. DJ couldn't get enough of Ashley!
The boys LOVED catching lightening bugs and were really good at it.
We decided them being shorter and not having to look down to see the bugs was a huge advantage.
Jason was just as excited to catch them as the little boys! Here Derek and Jason are getting all of the bugs into one jar so Jason could go out and catch more.
It was so much fun seeing these little bugs we don't have in Utah!
Later Ashley gave the boys a present of light-up guns. They had a blast running around behind their apartment playing guns!
