We set off this morning for a hike that we had planned a couple of months ago, Timpanogas Cave.
We arrived and got our packs on and were excited to start the hike.
We stopped a couple of times for picture breaks.
It was a perfect morning to hike!
Of course we had some selfie stops!
The beauty of the canyon was not lost on the boys! A couple of times both boys mentioned how pretty the view was.
As we approached the top we saw a ranger.
He was super friendly and let the boys wear his ranger hat.
He ended up being our tour guide through the cave.
The boys did great in the cave although it was pretty cold. Here they are in front of the heart of Timpanogas.
Both boys thought all of the formations were really fun to see and did great with the rules of not touching. While in the cave Alex had to go potty so bad, even though he went right before entering the cave. Luckily Grandpa Evan had an empty water bottle that we used.
We could never get enough pictures of us in the beautiful mountain.
We took time for a mommy and daddy selfie.
DJ hiking with Grandpa.
We took the kid straps along because there are a lot of very steep edges and we don't take chances.
When we were almost to the bottom of the hike we had a reporter from the local news station ask us to interview the boys about the hike.
The boys thought it was so great to see themselves on television.
It is a long clip but the boys are near the end.
We cooled off tonight by getting in our swim suits and playing in the sprinklers.
Alex said he was a ninja when he hit the water with a bat.
The boys running from the water.
I filled a bucket up with water for the boys to use on water guns. Can you guess if the water in there is warm or cold!?!
We had such a great day spending time with family!
We started out the day helping Daddy get ready for church.
After church we went and visited the graves of our loved ones.
We sure miss Grandpa Earl!
We never met Grandma Toni because she passed away when Daddy was a little boy, but Daddy told us some really great stories about her while we visited her grave.
We had a lot of fun pretending to be Captain Hook with tools grandpa made to hold down the flowers.
A little later we had our family dinner over at Bret and Hilarie's house. We love getting together!
Playing ball was a big hit with everyone while we were together.
Mommy got a selfie with our cousin Jax.
To end the night we decided we needed a small water fight. Daddy had told us about Grandma Toni and how she loved water fights so we wanted to do something for her and have one ourselves.
We ventured up to Discovery Gateway today with our friends. The boys love it there!
They really changed the area where the helicopter was, with a hospital station and clothes to dress up in. They played in this area for a long time.
DJ dressed up and got into the helicopter to go rescue someone.
Alex took the call that a patient was coming in,
and he rushed out to help the patient out of the helicopter and into the hospital.
Then DJ came in and worked on the patient to make her better. What a great team!
What a cute little fire fighter!
DJ loves to play chef! He always tells me that he wants to be a policeman when he grows up, but I think he would be a great chef and rival chef Ramsey.
They had a Bob the Builder station set up and they boys really enjoyed playing with all of the new toys.

Shaileen and Jax came too and had fun with us. Jax didn't really like the cat.
Even though we don't have many pictures of our friends we loved playing with Jax and Tanner!
