Allergy Testing

DJ went in to get allergy testing done.  We have known that he has allergies and we had talked to his birth parents about their allergies but we wanted to make sure we knew what his allergies are so we don't have any scary reactions to things we weren't aware of.

DJ found the stirrups at the office and thought they were really fun to use.
They tested for 26 different common allergies with a positive and negative reaction to compare them to at the top.  It was really interesting to see how quickly his reactions were.  The test showed allergies to grasses (5), cashews (20), and pistachios (23).  After the scratch test he had his blood drawn to make sure the results matched.  We had thought he was allergic to peanuts because some of his birth family is, but that came back negative.  Since we saw a reaction, red around the mouth, when he ate it a long time ago the doctor wants to do a peanut test at the office in a couple of months if we want him to be able to eat peanuts.
DJ was a trooper through all of the testing!  We also feel really good knowing what his allergies are and what he needs to steer clear of.  This test also confirmed our suspicion of seasonal allergies, grasses.
