She's here!

 For 3 days Ashley and Derek have been making their way to our house.  We were so excited to surprise the boys.  Ashley showed up right in the middle of a hide and go seek game and Alex was hiding up stairs so we told her where he was and she found him. He was in shock and then gave her a huge hug!

 We are so happy that they are here!

Camping in Soapstone Basin

We went camping overnight.  We had such a blast!  

 We took our 4-wheelers to play around with for awhile.  They boys got to drive and they loved it!

Our Newest Additions

Today was a big day!  We have been looking for the right chicken coop so we could get our own chickens!  We found just the right fit for us and jumped into chicken life!

Here is the coop and run.  We are thinking of eventually enlarging it, but for now we are in love with the area.  It took all day to get the coop, prep the area, and set it up.  But it is so worth it, just in one day alone we got 4 eggs.

The boys are loving having chickens too.

 They are super docile and since we bought the coop and hens together they already are trained on where to lay their eggs.

So we have named the chickens.  Starting bottom left is Chicaletta (from Paw Patrol), Yolko Ono, Lucy, Henrietta, and the one at the top is Sally.

A day at the beach

We decided it was time for another day at the beach and we invited some cousins too.  We had so much fun!

 We love getting in the water.  DJ took the long shovel in to be his paddle.

 We love digging in the sand.

It was so much fun and not too crowded today.  The best part was probably playing with our cousins!

Zoo Day

We decided it was time to visit the zoo again.

 It had been a long time since we visited the bird show so we sat down and the boys loved it.

 We rode the carousel. 

 We really loved the dinosaurs that were around the zoo.

 They had a blast roaming the zoo, seeing all of the animals, getting wet at the splash pad, and finding dinosaurs.

Spreading Our Wings

We had noticed that the boys do really great on their scooter balancing and DJ has been asking to get his training wheels off his bike so we decided it was time to try it.

 These two are practically experts already.

 They are still working of starting by themselves and not taking up the entire road, but we are getting there.

I'm so proud of these two!

Taking Flight

Jason took an introductory lesson in flying today.  

 We had 30 minutes up in the air.  Jason took the controls for part of the time.  We did a little zero gravity too, which was freaky.

We had a great view of the Bountiful Temple while we were up in the sky.

What a fun date we were able to go on while the boys were at a birthday party having a blast too.
