Memorial Day

Today we took the boys to a Veteran Cemetery. The boys thought it was pretty cool seeing all of the flags and the military people.  We talked to some navy guys that served on submarines.  It was a great way to teach the boys what Memorial Day is all about.

Visiting Graves

Every Sunday before Memorial Day we go visit some family graves.

Kindergarten Orientation

How did my kids become this old?  In the fall they are going to be starting Kindergarten.  They had an orientation today to help the kids get excited and not be so nervous.  DJ is a very anxious kid and this was very good especially for  him.  They had a great time playing in the room and are very excited to go to Kindergarten.

We are so lucky that Mama Breanna gets to come visit us.  DJ drew a picture for her.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful women in my life!  I am so grateful that these two call me mom!  This day, in the past, used to be one of the hardest days of the year.  Not knowing if you would ever be a mother and praying for little ones to fill your arms is hard.  These two have definitely been the biggest blessings in my life.   

My boys have birth moms and are so lucky! We get to see and hang out with them.  We are so grateful to have open adoptions and have them love on them.

Moving Day

After spending what seemed like way too much time packing all of our things up, we are finally moving.  We are excited to move on to a new chapter of our life, but I am feeling a little sad about leaving the only home the boys have known.

 We had a lot of people come help us and are so very thankful for all the help!

 We packed the moving van up on Friday evening and then Saturday morning unloaded it.

 It was rainy, not the best conditions to move, but it all worked out.
