Supporting Carson

Since the boys love baseball we decided that we needed to go out and support our cousin at his baseball game.

DJ was in heaven!

 We watched the game for awhile, but as we walked into the ball field we passed a playground so we had to go check it out.

 Daddy and DJ raced down the slides, DJ won!

Saving Up

We have been giving the boys $3.00 each week that they have been saving to buy anything they want.  Along with this comes teaching about tithing.  The boys get excited each week when they get their money and like to figure out how much money to put into their 'Jesus Jars' (tithing).  We have told them that Heavenly Father and Jesus give us everything we have and we can thank them buy giving something back to them through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

DJ bought a tool set.

 Alex bought a remote control stunt car.

 They have had a great time with their new toys they bought themselves.

First Day of Summer

Since today is the first day of summer I wanted to do a couple of fun things with the boys today.

 We went out for lunch and playing at a park.

 We had a great time swinging.

 Playing on a new playground is always fun.

 We took a little nature walk and saw signs of beaver.

 We also threw rocks in the lake.

 When we came home and had a rest we decided to get out our splash pad and cool down.

 I love watching the boys faces as the run through.

 I dared DJ to stick his head in the built up water.

 They have fun playing together!

It was a great way to start out our summer!

Another Night...

Another ball game.  Yep, our life revolves around baseball right now, and I LOVE IT!

 I love that Alex looks so serious here.

 They both did great!  DJ was able to hit the pitches both times he was at bat.

 Alex had to use the tee but hit the ball really hard both times.

We are so happy!

Why are we so happy?  It is the very last day of school for the year!!!

It has been a crazy adventure this school year and we are excited to have summer here!

 The boys will still be going to preschool two days during the week to learn but we will be packing the rest of the week FULL of fun and adventure!

Alex's Adoption Day

Happy Adoption Day Alex!

 He was super excited to get his Jake scooter!

 We also went to the church later and celebrated with what else then a little batting practice.

 We are lucky to have a close area to our house that we can play ball in.

We are so grateful for Alex and everything he brings to our family (Plus we get an amazing birth mama too)!  He is a little boy full of spunky life and energy.  Alex we truly adore you and the little man you are turning into.  Our love for you only grows with every passing day!

Gift from Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma Sue and Grandpa Evan got the boys school books to work on over the summer.

 They are sure excited to start them!

 I love watching them learn and grow!
